I first came across QiGong back in 2010 during a morning run in Hong Kong.
I was struck by how the group of people where moving with such grace and vitality.
It was first 9 years later that I eventually tried the practice for myself. The story in my mind had until then been the narrative that exercise must be strenuous and exhausting in order for me to benefit.
In 2019 I was fortunate enough to come across an online QiGong course hosted by Studio Zhang in Vienna. I have since then joined several more courses online and QiGong has become a part of my weekly practice to restore and later maintain my House of Balance.
What makes QiGong so great and maybe in particular for busy professionals:
Takes very little time. As little as 10 minutes a day makes a big difference
No Equipment, special clothing or space needed. Can be done in the airport lounge if you don't mind the extra attention you may attract
Decompresses. Stress and regular sport can cause the body to tighten up. QiGong makes the body "soft", and the energy once again flows
Calms the mind down, and you thereby get ready to tackle the next challenges in your day
Zhi from Studio Zhang has been so kind to make a 15 minute session especially for busy professionals.
Give it a go and please let me know how your experience was.
